Iker Muniain To Become A Gunner In A 25 Million Pounds Deal?
There is reports from Spain claiming Arsenal is set to
make a bid of 25 million pounds for Athletic Bilbao
for 20-year-old youngster Iker Muniain. It is believed
that Wenger has registered his interest with Athletic
Bilbao and he is set to table a bid of 25 million
pounds for the player even though the Basque club
have reportedly told Arsenal they do not intend to
sell the player.
Arsenal are currently in the market for new additions
as the club battles with injuries to several key
attacking players. Oxlade Chamberblain and Lukas
Podoslk, Diaby, and Arteta are out carrying various
degrees of injury which has made the club short. Iker
Muniain is a versatile player who is highly rated in
the Spanish La liga, he has even been tagged as the
“Spanish Messi” by a section of the media.
Iker Muniain forced his way into the Bilbao’s first
team in 2009 and he has ever since been one of
Bilbao’s key players with well over 100 first team
games played which is amazing for a player who is
just 20 years old. He has been linked in the past to
Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea.
Although Bilbao have made it clear the player is not
for sale, Arsenal officials are however confident they
have a chance of buying the player if Bilbao who are
cash trapped gets an offer of at least 25 million
pounds.
