During an interview with Hot 97 Tuesday, the “Suit & Tie” singer and former “Mickey Mouse Club” child-star said the VMAs wouldn’t be the VMAs if something crazy or weird didn’t happen.
“I saw it. The best part of the performance is the Smith family reaction shot. It’s just like this is not Calabasas. I mean I don’t look at Miley that way. The first time I met her, she was ’Hannah Montana’,” Timberlake told Angie Martinez. “My thoughts on it are it’s the VMAs. You know what I mean? It’s not the Grammys. We’re talking about Madonna in a wedding dress humping the stage. We’re talking about Britney doing a striptease. This is not uncommon. I’m saying she’s young. I think the song is jamming when I hear it on the radio. I liked all the bears.”
