Arsenal are set to announce the signing of a new
player even though the transfer window is closed.
Bristol City's Matt Macey is reportedly set to to sign
for Arsenal on a 3 years contract. The high rated goal
keeper was linked to the gunners last week with
Bristol City confirmed on their official twitter account
that they were in discussion with both Arsenal and
Everton for the signature of the player.
It was thought then that the goalkeeper will prefer
Everton to Arsenal but feelers from Arsenal now
claims the player is set to sign a contract that will
see him remain with the gunners till the summer of
2016. The goalkeeper recently underwent a trial of 2
weeks with Arsenal under 21 side where he
reportedly performed well.
Arsenal are expected to announce the signing of the
player in January but he is free to start playing for
Arsenal in the under 19 UEFA champions league. Arsenal
are currently top of their under 19 champions league
group having defeated both Marseille and Dortmund
in their first two games.
