MInd The Gap: Arsenal Extend Lead At Top Of Table

Arsenal are two points clear at the top of the Premier
League after a majestic 4-1 win over Norwich at the
Emirates Stadium today.
Some will discount the win because the opponents
were Norwich, but that would do the Gunners a
disservice as they were brilliant today.
With Wilshere, Ozil, Cazorla and Ramsey simply
brilliant, Arsenal put on a passing display that would
have not looked out of place at the Camp Nou or
Allianz Arena.
Ramsey has been so good this season, while Wilshere
played in a more central role today and had maybe
his best game of the season. Cazorla made his return
from injury and slotted in perfectly in midfield while
Ozil was Ozil.
Some of the goals Arsenal scored today were
breathtaking. The first one from Wilshere has to be a
contender for goal of the season. Wilshere broke up a
Norwich attack on the edge of the Arsenal box, but as
the Gunners brought the ball forward, Norwich had
plenty of men behind the ball as the ball came to
Cazorla on the edge of the penalty area.
But the Gunners cut through the Norwich defence
with a sublime series of one-touch passes First
Cazorla pulled the ball back out to Wilshere, who
played a quick pass into Giroud. His return pass was
flicked straight back by the England man and in turn
touched forward by the France striker into Wilshere's
path as he carried onto to the six-yard box before
clipping a low shot past Ruddy.
The second goal was not bad either. After soaking up
Norwich pressure, Arsenal scored with a classic
counter-attacking move. Cazorla sprinted into the
Norwich half before feeding Giroud on the right.
Giroud looked up and chipped a perfectly-weighted
ball across the Norwich penalty area, where Ozil
arrived on cue to get in between the defenders and
glance a header into the far corner.
Norwich got one back to make it interesting for a
while before Ramsey settled any late nerves when he
cut into the six-yard box and fired past Ruddy.
Then two minutes from time, Ozil scored again,
tapping-in from a cutback by Ramsey at the far post.
