Parlour explains why Flamini is Pivotal

Over the past couple of years Arsenal have often
been labelled as a 'one man team'. Firstly it was the
ending era of Henry, before turning to Fabregas and
then to Van Persie. Last season Cazorla was largely
known as our saviour but this year I think it's safe to
say that we finally possess lots of top class talent at
the club.
The likes of Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey have
transformed into completely different players from
previous years whilst we also have the top talent of
Santi Cazorla and new boy Mesut Ozil. But who would
have thought it would be a certain Frenchman who
re-joined the club in the summer after 5 years in
Milan that would eventually turn out to be the 'man
who could win Arsenal the league' according to one
Arsenal legend.
Ray Parlour said, "Flamini has been a massive
signing. The midfield has always been very good, but
they were all very similar players. The likes of (Santi)
Cazorla, (Mikel) Arteta are really good on the ball, but
they had no one in there bossing everyone around.
Now suddenly Flamini has gone in there and he is
starting to pull people around. Before he left for AC
Milan he was fantastic. Now he is doing a very similar
role and giving it to Ozil, Cazorla. He has been a real
unsung hero so far. These sort of players do their
jobs well but go unseen. He has been a really
important player that has come into the club and
gone on from where he left. He could be the
difference this season."
I think a lot of people would have thought that Ozil
would be the man behind the winning combination
and although of course his importance to this win
streak is undeniable, as is the entire team's in fact, I
think Flamini has been quite a hidden gem so far this
season, and he could well be the reason for why we
are being far more dominating and controlling in
games for longer periods and not losing focus like we
used to. With Flamini's addition could Arsenal really
go onto win the Premier League?
