Real Madrid Sold Mesut Ozil Due To Massive Debts – Jorge Valdano

Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano believes that
his old club had to sell Mesut Ozil to Arsenal because
of massive debts.
The Gunners paid a massive £42.5m to lure the
German international to the Emirates, just a day
after Real paid £86m for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.
The 58 year old said: "The main thing is that the
club's debt is €541m (£456m). The figure paid for
Bale seems outrageous.
"Ozil was cheap and has been sold for more. That will
impact positively on the accounts but the enormous
expenses have continued to accumulate."
