Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has confirmed that he was never the subject of any summer offers from Atletico Madrid. The Spanish international playmaker had been linked with a return to Spain during the recent transfer window but he shot down the suggestions when asked if there was any truth to the rumour by Marca. “No because there was never anything in that,” Cazorla said, agreeing with Atletico president Enrique Cerezo who previously denied any interest. “Like Cerezo said, there was no offer made and I was always calm about it.”
