Predicted Arsenal XI with Mesut Ozil v Sunderland
All eyes will be on the Stadium of Light this
weekend as Arsenal's club-record £42.5m
signing Mesut Ozil makes his Gunners debut
away to Sunderland.
It was a bittersweet international break for Arsene
Wenger, who would have been pleased with the
integral role his new man played in Germany's two
World Cup qualifier victories, but will be less
enamoured with news that Theo Walcott, Tomas
Rosicky and Yaya Sanogo all limped off over the past
few days.
Walcott's early withdrawal during England's 0-0 draw
with Ukraine appeared to be precautionary, with the
wide-man expected to return for the trip to the north
east, although one man who may not start
Saturday's fixture is Jack Wilshere, who rarely plays
three matches in a week.
The prolonged absence of Mikel Arteta means that
Mathieu Flamini could get the nod to start for
Arsenal, having given a good account of himself in
his return to the club for their 1-0 victory against
Tottenham Hotspur last time out.
Wenger has confirmed that Ozil will feature on
Saturday, with the German likely to start alongside
Santi Cazorla, with Olivier Giroud the only senior
option in attack.
Below is my prediction for Arsenal's line-up
against Sunderland.
Wojciech Szczeszny
Bacary Sagna
Per Mertesacker
Laurent Koscielny
Kieran Gibbs
Mathieu Flamini
Aaron Ramsey
Theo Walcott
Mesut Ozil
Santi Cazorla
Olivier Giroud

line-up against Sunderland? Comment below.
