Is fast start key to Arsenal success this season?

When I talk about a fast start for Arsenal, I am not
talking about the individual games, but about the
season as a whole. Before the Premier League even
kicked off in August, I wrote about how we would
need to really make the most of the opening ten
games, and so far it is going great.
I know that Arsenal have to play every team over the
course of the season, and some people will say it
doesn't matter, but I thought it was hugely important
to start well and get a run going, something we have
been leaving too late in recent years. The fixture list
was quite kind to us, with none of last season's top
three in the first quarter. Liverpool at the Emirates at
the start of November is the 10th league game of the
season, and that is the beginning of a tougher run.
If we keep up the current form, however, I am
confident it will help us in those games. The big three
are all under pressure this season, with new
managers and new players to settle in, and Arsenal
being ahead of them will only increase that pressure,
while our players' confidence, which is already good,
will be sky high. This was evident in the supposedly
tough game against Napoli, when we simply blew
them off the park.
There is no sign of Arsenal `playing with the
handbrake on` like we did for a lot of last year, and
we look good enough to beat anyone. However,
before Christmas, we face Liverpool, Manchester
United, City and Chelsea. We should not have any
fear of them, though, it should be the other way
around, and if we start the new year in top spot, I can
really see us going all the way.
