It was VITAL Arsenal didn’t lose says Wenger

When Jack Wilshere scored a rare goal for Arsenal at
the Hawthorns, it was not enough to inspire the
Gunners to turn the game around and extend our
winning streak on the road. So Arsenal picked up a
point instead of none, but the manager Arsene
Wenger is pinning a lot of importance on that one
point.
The fact that point means that Arsenal players and
fans can look at the Premier League table for the next
two weeks and see the Gunners in top spot should
not be underestimated, and losing that spot to
Liverpool could have undermined the optimism and
belief surging around the club at the minute. It also
keeps Arsenal unbeaten in all competitions since the
first day of the season, and not losing games is a
great habit to have.
Wenger told Arsenal player, "It was a big test for us.
You could see that we had to dig deep to come back.
We have given a lot recently and I'm glad that we
didn't lose the game, even if of course there are
always some regrets when you don't win.
"It's vital that the confidence remains there and that
you feel we don't lose. This place (West Brom) can be
difficult for anybody, so let's have a break, come
back, and win again."
As well as keeping the players who have been doing
the job confident and happy, imagine how nice it is
for the likes of Walcott and Cazorla to come back into
a team that is top of the table. I bet they cannot wait
to pull on an Arsenal shirt again .
