Mertesacker has declared he has been helping
Arsenal's summer signing Mesut Ozil to settle down
to live in the England capital. Mertesacker according
to reports was one of those Ozil spoke to before
making the decision to join Arsenal in a club record
42.5 million pounds move from Real Madrid and
same Mertesacker is now helping Ozil to find life easy
in North London.
Talking to the press, Mertesacker said :
"It is just the little details, how to get on, how to
come to the training ground, to get to wherever he
wants to go," said Mertesacker.
"It is just a quick call or a text, you can help him out.
He can play football, so it is just the little details.
"I need to help him out, because it is very important
to get him into the squad quickly, so that he can
adapt and play with freedom.
"That is what he is; his vision is enormous and with
him we are more dangerous and can compete at
higher levels. We try to make it comfortable for him
to adapt as quickly as possible. Against Napoli, you
felt he could play 90 minutes at a high level, that he
can make the difference at any time.
The big defender who is known as the big f*cking
German among the Arsenal fan base went on to add
that Arsenal fans can expect more from Ozil.
"We can expect a lot [more] from him in the coming
weeks, you could see that we needed his contribution
and he is the right addition."
