Wenger: Arsenal youngster Gnabry ready to make impact
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes teenager
Serge Gnabry has the best chance out of his
latest batch of youngsters to make a
breakthrough.
As Wenger celebrates 17 years in charge of the
Gunners, the winger, who is fittingly 17, has been
thrust into the spotlight and started his first Premier
League game in the 3-1 win over Stoke last weekend.
The German under-19 international filled in for Theo
Walcott and with the England man missing for a a
few more weeks, Gnabry could make his second
consecutive league start for the trip to Swansea on
Saturday.
"He's still a young boy but he shows that he
has quality"
Arsene Wenger
Wenger said: "It's a good opportunity for him, I have
not decide whether I'll start him. He's still a young
boy but he shows that he has quality.
"To play today in the Premier League as a young boy
of 17-years-old, it’s very seldom that they have the
body to cope with the impact and the duels.
"But he’s ready to do that. We have some other boys
who have the technical quality to play in the Premier
League but are not resistant enough yet to compete
physically."
