Arsenal Injury News – Cazorla set for Napoli return plus more…
Not only do Arsenal have a very effective and
confident first team, who have fired the Gunners to
the dizzy heights of the top of the Premier League,
but there are some real top quality players in the
treatment room. The good news is that Arsenal seem
to have gotten over the worst of the injury crisis,
which had nine players out at one point.
Mikel Arteta and Thomas Vermaelen are fit again,
with the Spaniard getting a run out at the end of the
home win over Stoke. According to the Mirror, they
will soon be joined by Santi Cazorla and Yaya Sanogo.
The young French striker has been out with a back
problem, but apparently has an outside chance of
being in the squad for the Capital One Cup game at
West Brom this week.
With the Great Dane Nicklas Bendtner having made
the bench for Stoke, Arsene Wenger will all of a
sudden have a couple of back-up strikers to call on,
so Giroud might even get a rest every now and then.
Bendtner might even start the cup game, and so
might the captain Thomas Vermaelen.
One player who is almost certain to start when fit, is
Cazorla. He is set for an early return, but not as soon
as the others. The Spaniard is set for a return the
following week, with the visit of Napoli in the
Champions League. With these players back, and
Podolski, Chamberlain, Rosicky and Diaby on the
way, Arsenal look set to have a fantastic squad
available soon, and we will need it if we are to
continue with a first realistic title challenge for some
years.
