Arsenal currently sit pretty on top of the league table
after opening up a two point cushion following their
2-1 win at Swansea City over the weekend. Much has
been down to the tireless efforts put in by
midfielders Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and of course
Jack Wilshere himself.
Ozil has slotted into the team almost effortlessly
since his transfer on Deadline Day. He managed to
score his first Arsenal goal last night against Napoli
after a sublime strike. Ramsey too is currently in the
form of his life, and was vital in providing the pass for
Ozil to score.
With the likes of Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky
already back from injury and Santi Cazorla due to be
back in action very soon, there is some serious
competition expected very soon in Arsenal's midfield
with just three place up for grabs.
Wilshere, who came on as a substitute yesterday,
says that such intense competition for places might
not be a bad thing after all, as it will help everyone
up their game and just get better. Sky Sports report
him as saying, "We still have Santi Cazorla to come
back, so we are going to have a great squad."
"We have not really had this over the last few years,
all of this competition for places.
"It brings the best out of me and it will bring the best
out of the other players as well."
