Cazorla – Madrid were crazy to let Ozil join Arsenal!

Arsenal’s best player last season was voted as Santi Cazorla, and few Arsenal fans will argue that the Spanish midfield maestro deserved it, so the player is already well respected at the club even though he has been in London for just over a year. The fact that it was his first season in England makes it even better. Cazorla joined Arsenal last summer from Spanish side Malaga when they had to sell their best players because of financial difficulties. Arsene Wenger quickly stepped up and managed to secure the Spanish wizard for a bargain £12.5 million or at least a fee in that kind of region. Cazorla quickly settled in and easily put his name to the claim as Arsenal’s best player as well as one of the Premier League’s most talented. This time around another transfer between Spain and England was successful however it was Real Madrid who were the selling club as we saw Mesut Ozil join Arsenal in a club record breaking £42.4 million according to the likes of BBC Sport and Sky Sports. So now that Arsenal have too of the world’s best playmakers, it is going to be an absolute dream to see them line up together, assuming that hopefully they will work well together. Whilst Arsenal fans still haven’t quite settled down at the news of Ozil’s signing, many of the players also showed their excitement, however many professionals and managers alike have also taken the stance of being confused and puzzled over why an earth Madrid allowed Ozil to leave and that’s exactly the approach our very own Santi Cazorla has taken. The 28 year old told AS Marca: “I am very happy that Ozil is here. He is a spectacular player, and we are very lucky that we are going to learn alongside him. “I don’t understand why Real Madrid let him join us. They must have been crazy, since he is a unique player. You will have to ask the club for reasons why they sold him, but at the same time he didn’t think he was getting the opportunities he deserved, and luckily he has come to us. “He is an important player, and he is going to be very good for the team and the way we get and move on the play field. I hope he can help us fight against the big teams in the Premier League”. Like I said, I’m sure everyone is looking for to seeing the pair of them line up this coming weekend against Sunderland and assuming they both are able to play to their greatest abilities together then we could be really in for something special this season with the league’s best creative midfield!
