Gervinho shows his lack of class to Arsenal fans

The Ivorian striker has broken any lingering ties he
had with Arsenal Football Club, by stupidly stating
that he wants Napoli to beat the Gunners in the
Champions League this season. The striker is doing
pretty well in Italy since his summer transfer to
Roma, but there was absolutely no need for him to
wish a defeat on his former club.
He said, "I had a lot of affinity with Wenger, but more
with Garcia. I wish good luck to Napoli vs. Arsenal.
Hope Italians progress in Champions."
Gervinho's two goals at the weekend helped his new
club Roma to finish the weekend on top of the Italian
league table, two points ahead of Arsenal's European
opponents Napoli. I fail to understand why he felt the
need to make his statement at all. Does he feel bitter
towards Arsenal or Wenger? Surely he must
understand that Wenger gave him more chances
than most other managers would have done. It is not
our fault that he failed to produce regular decent
performances. He was not pushed out and Wenger
made his transfer fairly easy, so he should thank his
former boss, not suggest he wants us to lose.
Hopefully, Roma will get into the Champions League
next season, and are drawn against Arsenal. Then we
can not only knock the stuffing out of them, we can
boo our former player relentlessly for his foolish
words.
