Even WITH Ozil have Arsenal got enough?
The wait is killing me, as I am sure it is with all
Arsenal fans. Assuming, fingers crossed, that there is
no problem with the deal for Real Madrid’s German
international, I really hope that Arsenal are busy
trying to sign a couple more players.
If that is the reason for the hold up, it will be worth
the wait, but if there are to be no more new
additions, I think the Arsenal squad will still be light
and in real danger of a couple of injuries derailing our
hopes of challenging for the Premier League title or
ending the eight year trophy drought.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Ozil will be a fantastic
signing that will add real quality to the first team,
but I am still worried about the defence and the
striking options. What if Giroud picks up a knock on
international duty? Or Mertesacker, Koscielny,
Walcott or Cazorla. Any one of these players being
out spells serious trouble for the Gunners.
The deal for Demba Ba is off, as Chelsea do not want
to strengthen a rival(where have we heard that
before?) but there has been no mention of any other
strikers joining Arsenal. What is even more worrying
is the news from the BBC that we have called off the
Bendtner transfer to Crystal Palace. Could we really
be forced into playing the greatest striker in the
world again?
