10 reasons Arsenal transfer window WAS a success
Top ten positives from the transfer window By
AondoaverK
Hello Arsenal fans, it’s time to exhale! The market is
over and we are the talk of town. You’d even think we
just won a major trophy in injury time, in the most
agonizing fashion. The four signings the Gunners
made and the players released might not be what
everyone wants but there is unanimity that we
bought smart. We can’t win by just buying but we
can give ourselves a chance. That, I think, we did.
As we digest the market and how it went, I have
compiled a list of top ten positives that Arsenal fans
can take from the summer transfer window just
ended. Feel free to add or substitute or create your
own list entirely! Enjoy my countdown:
10. We didn’t buy Salomon Kalou
9. We didn’t sell Prince Poldi
8. Chamakh left (but Bendtner is still here?)
7. At least two of our junior boys will get a chance in
the senior squad
6. Olivier Giroud stepped up his game (to ward off
another central striker)
5. Flamini’s return is like a bit of the old Arsenal back
4. We (literally) sold Ramsey (not true in fact) and
got a new Ramsey (re-loaded)
3. There is space for a January addition (Demba Ba
didn’t come and there could be the balance of the 70
million pounds)
2. We were trained to expect very little
1. We got Mesut Ozil
Can’t wait for hostilities to restart
