Arsenal fans need to make Emirates a fortress not a library!!

Arsenal have a world class manager, stadium, squad
(injury free!), history and fans, but there seems to be
a piece missing.
It's atmosphere. Not to say we're short of it, because
watching the WBA v Arsenal game Wednesday night,
our faithful certainly cranked up the volume, but I
think we can take it to another level. This is not an
insult exclusive to Arsenal either; I personally think
modern day football in England has lost that edge
slightly due to ridiculous ticket prices and corporate
seating. But that's another article altogether! At the
biggest clashes and rivalries this is obviously invalid,
and our away support is phenomenal.
In my opinion the missing piece is to make the
Emirates a fortress not a venue. I look to BVB,
Olympiacos and all as an example. Stadiums that are
never quiet or still. Yes quality can win a lot of
games, but what about when you're looking to pinch
an extra time winner? Imagine a packed out Emirates
in full noise spurring you on! We need teams to be
intimidated to visit us, where they draw us at home
and think "oh no, not this lot with their 12th
man" (not Howard Webb).
This thought comes from watching our last home
match against Stoke RFC. At times it felt as if we
were waiting for them to lift us – THAT'S WRONG! We
shouldn't sing only when we score – I'm tired of the
library jokes but they are right it's just too quiet
most of the time, I felt sorry for our lads. We have a
bright future ahead; we've finally clicked and results
are actually going our way and with 11 straight away
wins since beating Bayern Munchen in Germany.
Luckily, before a tough November, our squad is only
getting stronger with the likes of Rosicky/Cazorla/
Walcott/Podolski all returning before then. So now I
say it's time to really help push on for one, hell
maybe two trophies this year, and that means being
our club's 12th man during all matches, not just the
rivalries. If we could imagine we were playing the
spuds every weekend that would be perfect!
Thanks for your time, would love to hear everyone's
opinion have a great day gooners – onwards to
Swansea!
