Ramsey: I think there is more to come

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has claimed that
there is still more to come from him, despite the
outstanding start to the new season.
The 22 year old who has been in impressive form this
season, netting 10 goals in just 15 appearances for
club and country already this campaign, with eight
coming for the Gunners.
The Welsh international was recently named the
Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for
September, and believes there is room for even more
improvement in his game.
According to Independent, he said:
I think there is more to come, I'm still only 22, I
still need to do better and learn a few more things
but the boss (Arsene Wenger) is telling me about
that, things like positioning defensively.
So there's definitely more to come and I'm looking
forward to that. When you haven't got the ball,
while we're defending – sometimes I am not
always where I need to be.
I need to be playing well, be involved in the game
and taking these games by the scruff of the neck
and keep doing the things I've been doing.
Wales boss Chris Coleman praised Ramsey in the
wake of the Belgium game, claiming he could play in
any international side in the world on current form,
but the 22-year-old is keen to keep his feet on the
ground. He added:
It's nice to be recognised with comments like
that.
But I try not to take too much interest and let it
affect me. I just try to focus on my own game and
what I need to do to improve. I just try to keep on
enjoying my football.
At the back end of last season I noticed a change
in myself.
I got my confidence back, started playing some
good stuff again and that's carried on this year.
The confidence is flowing throughout the team at
Arsenal at the moment. We are top of the league,
playing some good stuff and I think all the players
are feeling good at the moment.
All of us just want to get out there and play as
much football as we possibly can at the moment.
Ramsey has been the driving force in the Arsenal
midfield this season. He has been remarkable and his
impact on the team has been immense. His goal
scoring record has also been superb this season and
he is so far the top scorer for the Gunners. His
performances have been so good that they have
sometimes over shadowed the club's record signing
Mesut Ozil which is an achievement in itself.
With Arteta and Cazorla back from injury there will
be plenty of competition for places at Arsenal,
however I don't think Wenger can even think of
dropping Ramsey with the way he is playing at the
moment. I feel he will continue to improve as the
season progresses and see no reason why he will
stop doing what he has been doing so far. His form is
already proving to be a game changer for both the
club and country and hopefully he will continue to do
so.
Do you think there is more to come from Ramsey?
