Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is eyeing a January
move for West Brom youngster Saido Berahino,
according to the Daily Telegraph.
Berahino's rise to stardom has accelerated in recent
weeks with goals for England under-21's and Albion,
including the winner away at Manchester United last
month and a hat trick in the Capital One Cup against
Newport.
The 20 year old has been urged to keep his feet on
the ground by people at West Brom but Albion have
so far failed to tie him down to a long term contract
with his current wage of just £850-a-week starting to
bother the striker.
Arsenal are expected to make a move for the striker
in January but they face competition from the likes of
Tottenham and Chelsea in order to seal a deal.
The Gunners may have to fork out in excess of
£10million for Berahino but a loan move back to
Albion may be on the cards if a deal is put in place in
January.
