In the last few days, there has been reports that
Wenger is trying to sign France and Valencia's Adil
Rami but now reports have emerged and it seems
the Valencia defender is closing in on a move to AC
Milan, therefore ending all speculation regarding a
transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners are currently light in defence and are
looking for at least one more face to help strengthen
that area with Rami one of several targets being
monitored however AC Milan look to have ended any
hopes for Arsenal with a quick move for the centre-
back.
Rami has risen to prominence at Valencia following
his move for LOSC Lille, becoming one of the leagues
most accomplished defenders as well as becoming
an integral part of the French national side too but a
recent falling out with Valencia manager Miroslav
Dukic looks to have ended a turbulent spell at the
club for Rami.
Los Che haven't enjoyed the best start to the season
losing three of their eight league games however
Milan aren't doing any better as they sit twelfth in
Serie A, winning just two from their seven games,
however their poor start can be improved with the
arrival of the Frenchman.
Rami is expected to complete a medical at the San
Siro this weekend ahead of his proposed move to
Milan which will be an initial loan move with the view
to a permanent deal. The transfer has disappointed
Manchester City as well as they were hoping to sign
the 27-year old.
With Rami no longer available, the Premier League
duo will now turn their attentions to 18-year old Kurt
Zouma. The Saint-Etienne defender has produced
magnificent displays in Ligue 1 this season, earning
his first call-up to the French national squad. The
Gunners may also go after Micah Richards with the
Englishman surplus to requirements at the Etihad
Stadium.
AC Milan's capture of Rami will end their interest in
Manchester United's Serbian central defender
Nemanja Vidic.
